The safe choice
The carbon steel threaded flange is perfect for connecting several pipes during welding. Threaded flanges is often reffered to as screwed flange, and it is used to expand installations of steel pipes or to enable new installations.
It is used in a wide variety of industries, such as shipbuilding, power industry, petrochemical plants, oil refineries, waste water treatment plants, pharmaceutical plants, turnkey projects, etc.
They are mostly used in small size piping in low temperature and low-pressure applications. Threaded flanges are quite similar to the slip-on flange, but the bore here is threaded, this way it can be assembled without being welded together, as long as it is connected to other companion flanges. This way threaded flanges can be used in highly volatile areas where welding is hazardous.
It can however also be welded on, depending on the function of the flange.
